Private Residence: Palmetto Bluff, South Carolina

A winding drive sets the stage for the lodge-like, rambling home overlooking a lagoon. The home is connected by a porte cochere to the garage. A screened porch runs the full length of the main body of this one-level home, opening onto a brick terrace with built-in barbeque and bar. The great room has a beamed ceiling and masonry fireplace that spans the full height and six individual paneled doors that open onto the porch, merging the indoors and outdoors for entertaining. Project received Homebuilders Association of Hilton Head, SC Lighthouse Award for Best Exterior, Best Bath and Best Overall.
