Graham Scott Building SCAD — Hansen Architects

Graham Scott Building, SAVANNAH COLLEGE OF ART AND DESIGN

Hansen Architects was instrumental in designing the renovation of two Indian Street buildings, transforming the property into the 17,000-square-foot Graham Scott building. Completed in fall 2023, this facility houses the SCAD Photography program, featuring state-of-the-art classrooms, studios, and art galleries. Originally constructed in 1958, the warehouse-style structure previously operated as a nightclub and distillery before its acquisition by SCAD in spring 2023. The building was named in recognition of long-standing SCAD staff members James Graham and Trá Scott, honoring their combined legacy with the university.
