Alexis joined Hansen Architects in 2014. Prior to joining the Hansen team, Alexis spent ten years working at a National Landmark Historic Site on a wide variety of projects, upholding the highest preservation standards. Alexis has worked on projects of various scale, including the overall preservation effort of over twenty buildings and structures, with dates of construction ranging from 1850-1930, on a sixteen acre site. As part of a non-profit organization, Alexis planned and managed preservation projects under strict budgetary and quality restraints. She was an active participant in each phase of projects through construction, which gives her a unique perspective on troubleshooting design issues as they arise, and allows her to better plan for future problems. She is a skilled technical draftsman and has fully documented several buildings to HABS/HAER standards from field measured drawings. She is a graduate of SCAD where she received a Master of Architecture and a Minor in Historic Preservation.
