Herstand hall
The Savannah College of Art and design
Built in 1926 and designed by Savannah Architect, Cletus Bergen, Herstand Hall was renovated for The Savannah College of Art and Design in 2018. The Historic building located on a prominent corner in downtown Savannah has a brick exterior and a light-filled interior. The interior atrium was updated with a new skylight and the interior classrooms, meeting spaces, and computer labs have glass walls and surround the atrium, giving every space a visual connection. The 5 story, 40,000 sf educational building will house students that are in their first year at SCAD.
