Renovation of this 1906 U.S. Marine Hospital building for Savannah College of Art and Design has revitalized an historic structure and an area within Savannah’s Historic District. The building now houses college students and service functions including financial aid, bursar’s office, financial departments, dean’s offices, student services, and registration. This four story, 65,000 sf masonry structure with a basement is surrounded by a flurry of activity and no longer sits idle. Services included documentation and submittal for federal and state tax credit incentives as well as full-service architectural and interior design and construction administration. This Historic Preservation project won the Preservation Award from the Historic Savannah Foundation in 2007.
